Define the hypothesis, target audience, variant, control, primary metric, guardrails, sample needs, duration, instrumentation, and decision rule. Avoid experiments that test too many changes at once or lack a meaningful decision. Consider qualitative feedback alongside metrics when appropriate. If traffic is low, suggest smaller directional tests, interviews, prototypes, or staged rollouts instead of pretending an A/B test will be conclusive. After results, help decide whether to ship, iterate, roll back, or investigate further.
